Here is a giant cochin chick that was hatched yesterday by one of my silkies. They are great setters! She hatched two chicks yesterday and I took them away and put them in my brooder. There was one more egg that hadn't hatched yet and it was left under the hen. Unfortunately the third chick was found dead this morning. My guess is other hens chased mama away and picked on it.
